Vela Latina draws on the Mediterranean maritime tradition and the authentic simplicity of the Sicilian coastline. Its name evokes the Latin sail, a historic symbol of the Mediterranean: essential, elegant, guided by the wind — much like the spirit of the place. We are a Mediterranean Eco-Lounge built around natural materials, warm light, good wine, simple cuisine and conviviality. More than just a place, Vela Latina is meant to be somewhere time slows down, where you can share light, easy moments with the people you love, facing the Stagnone lagoon.

Vela Latina sits within the unique setting of the Stagnone lagoon in Marsala, Sicily: a protected lagoon where shallow, warm water meets the wind and the slowest sunsets in the Mediterranean. A landscape that becomes part of the experience, evening after evening.

Our cooking is built on a single principle: celebrating the raw ingredient. We work with carefully selected local producers, chosen for their quality, authenticity and trust.

Simple ingredients, treated with restraint, paired with house-made sauces and creams designed to respecte very ingredient — from homemade bread crostoni to the Vela burgers, to raw seafood specialties like the Oro di Marsala.

Every bottle is chosen not only for what it expresses in the glass, but for the human relationship built over time with winemakers and friends who share our philosophy of respect for the land.
